What we supply and build

Growing supplies, complete systems and our own monitoring platform, for home growers, small farms and commercial operators.

Hydroponic systems

Our Wall-Mounted System has four tiers and 56 plant sites and draws 28 W. It arrives fabricated, with the already set: you mount the uprights and connect the pipework, or we install it for you.

We also stock the channels, pumps, , media and nutrients to build or expand a system of your own.

Coco Bag Grow Stand

A galvanised stand for a 1.2 m coco grow bag, supplied as a kit: assemble it with a rubber mallet, then clip it to your drip line. Four , one per planting hole. It runs on solar: one node can run four stands, each with its own tank if needed, and one pump feeds two stands (8 plants) for 3 days without sun.

Drip systems

A drip system feeds each pot from a central reservoir through its own line: a good fit for larger plants and for growing in media rather than channels.

Our Drip Pot System: 10 L pots on legs in coco and , each fed by a pressure-compensating dripper from a 100 L reservoir on a timer.

HortiNode can open and close the lines on a schedule or a soil-moisture rule, so each pot gets what it needs rather than what a timer allows.

Organic growing and plant nutrition

Build healthier growing environments.

Healthy growth starts around the roots. We supply organic nutrients, soil conditioners, living soils and biological inputs that build a balanced root zone and support plants through every stage of growth.

At home, on a small farm or in a more advanced system, we'll help you match products to your growing method, your plants and your goals.

Commercial grow lighting

In testing

Professional output, without the import mark-up.

We're testing high-output LED fixtures from our manufacturing partner before we stock them. They're running in live grows now and performing well, and more samples are on the way.

Because they come direct from the manufacturer, there's no distributor or brand mark-up in between. That's where the saving is, on the fixture and across a whole grow room. We'll publish our own measurements as testing finishes.

Why µmol/J matters

Efficacy is how much growing light you get for each watt of electricity. Higher means a lower power bill for the same light, so it's the number to compare when you price lights for a whole room.

Built for load-shedding

NFT holds almost no water at the root zone, so the pump matters more than it does in a deep-water system. We design for outages from the start.

  • 28 W. The wall system is a very small load: a modest UPS or inverter will carry the pump through a typical outage.
  • 12 V solar. A solar pump kit removes grid dependence from the circulation loop entirely.
  • Off-grid monitoring. A HortiNode node is running fully off-grid on solar today.

Questions

How does a quote work?

Add products to your cart and request a quote. No payment is taken. We confirm stock (usually within hours, always by the next business day), send a firm quote including delivery, then a secure payment link.

Do you deliver outside Cape Town?

Yes, we deliver across South Africa. Delivery is quoted with your order.

Do you install systems?

Yes. The Wall-Mounted NFT System is sold both ways: install it yourself (it arrives fabricated, with the channel fall already set) or have us install it.

What happens during load-shedding?

An NFT system holds almost no water at the roots, so keep the pump running. Our wall system draws only 28 W: a modest UPS or inverter will carry the pump through a typical outage, and a 12 V solar pump kit removes grid dependence from the circulation loop entirely.

Do I need HortiNode to run a system?

No. Every system we sell runs on its own. HortiNode adds monitoring, alerts and automation, and monitoring is free.

Advice and system design
