What measurement found
We were using six times more water than we needed.
Our irrigation was set to 30 minutes a zone. Once soil sensors were in, we could see the medium was fully saturated after about five minutes — the rest ran straight through. We cut the runtime. Same plants, same result, roughly 83% less water and 83% less pumping energy.
A timer can't find that. It just keeps running.
